Fortnite Ice Storm event RELEASE DATE: Major Battle Royale leak reveals NEW event

FORTNITE developer Epic Games is getting ready to launch a brand new in-game event.

1. Fans were also quick to explore the update files to discover new skins and items coming to Fortnite in the coming weeks.
2. One of the most interesting discoveries revolves around a new event coming to the game soon.
3. The Ice Storm event will launch alongside a selection of challenges and rewards.

       Theories suggest it will involve the Ice King pictured in leaked loading screens

The event launch date remains a mystery, although leaked items and skins usually appear within the fortnight.

It's also possible the event will usher in Season 8, which means it could launch at the end of the current season.

If the leaks are correct, then the Ice Storm event will have 13 challenges.

Completing all of the challenges unlocks the Winter's Thorn Glider. Other rewards are said to include the Blue Metallic Wrap.

Fortnite fans have discovered more than just leaked skins in update 7.20.

The newest Fortnite update added the Scoped Revolver weapon, as well as the Glider Redeploy item.

Fans were also quick to explore the update files to discover new skins and items coming to Fortnite in the coming weeks.

One of the most interesting discoveries revolves around a new event coming to the game soon.

The Ice Storm event will launch alongside a selection of challenges and rewards.

Theories suggest it will involve the Ice King pictured in leaked loading screens.

It's also expected to tie into the giant Ice Sphere that has appeared above Polar Peak.
